Technical consultant Services during the construction of: “Nestorio Dam and accompanying structures, Kastoria, Greece”

Earthfill and Rockfill dam, of 72m height and 270m length (crest +868), with central impermeable core. Upstream slope 5:1 (h:v) below level +833 and 2.25:1 (h:v) above that level. Downstream slope 52.75:1 (h:v) below level +833 and 2.25:1 (h:v) above that level. Dam volume is 2,060,000 m3. Reservoir area 823,000 m2. Storage capacity is 15.53 million m3. Technical services include, checking of implementation design of the Contractor, establishment of on-site laboratory, and execution of tests for quality control checking, programming and supervision of site investigation and evaluation of results, supervision of dam foundation excavations, of foundation, of cofferdam and embankent construction, suitability checking and management of construction materials and checking of conformity with contactual requirements.
